1-Experience is a must

Hub'air is managed by experienced professionals airline instructor.

Knowledge transfer is our creed.

We do not delegate our courses to inexperienced instructors who are just leaving their schools to teach you how to fly in order to build up their own flying hours .

Pedagogy, passion, experience and motivation are the keys of our instruction.

Training must be fun ! It is a nice and rewarding experience to learn in a friendly environment even if the goal is difficult to achieve. We will coach you all the way to the acquisition of your license. There is no fast track procedure as it takes time and dedication to learn the right subject matter and get the right skills.

2-We know what we are talking about...

Hub’Air is a team of experienced airline pilots who are passionate about flying and teaching you about their passion

We are all qualified on Boeing and/or Airbus aircrafts, but also have a tremendous amount of experience on a lot of different kinds of aircrafts

Additionally, some of us are also glider pilots or former fighter jet pilots. Some took part in test flights at Airbus for aircraft deliveries, while some are even aerobatic pilots at World Championship level.

In our management team, you will find a former training manager and flight ops director of carriers operating large aircrafts

Hub'air has been selected to be one of the few official Boeing flight school in 2014 in the PDP program and trained pilots from many countries and airlines around the world.

3-Get a Job

Since 2001, Hub'air cadets are now pilots with airlines such as

Air France, Brussels Airlines, Luxair, Cargolux, ASL, TUI, Qatar Airways, Emirates, DHL, Ryanair, Easyjet, Air Belgium, Air Arabia and Cathay Pacific, to name a few...

We guarantee that when the demand for pilots is high, almost all our cadets find a job rather quickly. However, we assure you that when the market is down, we noticed that many of our cadets have still been able to get hired thanks to the high quality education we provided.

A careful selection process is of utmost importance for Hub’Air.
After the entry test, we will make a strong assessment after 15h of flight training. On the other hand, we also have the ethics and honesty to advise you to stop if we don’t see a chance of success. This way, we prevent you from inadequately spending a substantial amount of money.

If you are struggling at any stage, and if, after evaluation, we collectively deem it necessary, we will offer you the possibility to take extra training.

Over the years, we developed a strong expertise in hiring pilots for airlines around the world and we use it to give our students the best chances of getting their first job as a copilot.

You will learn to fly on a taildragger aircraft. It is a challenging and demanding plane well known by aviators.

Where other schools are looking to ease you into training by flying newer and easier planes, we are going to let you fly all your initial dual and solo hours on a more challenging, tougher but more fun plane.  It is much more rewarding and gives you better skills.

Tailwheel aircrafts won't let you get away with ignoring the basics.

Get seat of the pants flying, no instruments at this stage.

You need to become an aviator first prior to become an airline pilot...Do not minimise this important step or you will be part of the new generation of system operators and not a pilot !

Hub’Air has a considerable amount of experience with simulators

Even if we consider that flying a real aircraft is usually preferable, we also recognize that flying a procedure trainer or a full flight simulator helps to reduce the costs and allows us to perform certain realistically impractical manoeuvres

Appropriately, Hub’Air has been a leader in flight simulation by introducing the first FNPT2 MCC in Belgium in 2001.

Subsequently, we were the first to introduce the MFTD Airbus A320 certified STD2A in the world. Hub’Air also took part in the set up of simcenters operating full flight Airbus and Boeing simulators.

Nowadays, we consider that the use of a new generation of Flight Training Device (FTD) at the end of the training will give a much better understanding prior to start an initial type rating.

5-Upset Recovery Training

Nowadays, airlines place strong emphasis on upset recovery training as many airline pilots cannot react properly when approaching an unusual phase of flight.

Historically, more than 20 years ago, airline pilots were trained to fly aerobatics in order to understand how an aircraft reacts when flying out of the usual attitude of flight.  Alone on board, they would have to demonstrate that they acquired the skills to control an aircraft in any position.

At Hub’Air, you will receive training in aerobatics with over 10 hours of practice, including solo aerobatic flights which will be performed under the supervision of an airline instructor and of an aerobatics instructor at World Championship level.

Very few schools will allow you to do solo aerobatics as this requires a great deal of confidence in the students' skills, the instructor's knowledge and the material. It requires a lot of expertise ...

7-All Flights Hours on Aircraft

All the instrument training is done on the aircraft and not in a simulator ! Of course, we use simulation to help you understand the procedures but we consider that a better training is obtained by flying all the required hours in the real aircraft.

While we consider that electronic flight instrument systems (EFIS) are not at suitable to teach the basics in visual flight condition (VFR), Hub'air has been leader, since 2004, in using EFIS equipped aircrafts for the instruments flying.

As these instruments are similar to those used in Airbus and Boeing cockpits , it makes sense to familiarize the cadets with their future tools.

Nevertheless, we do not make short cuts and always insist on training using traditional methods which are essential to develop a good situational awareness.

We have developed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) similar to the one used in Boeing and Airbus but applicable for our training aircrafts. We even have similar technical procedures if a problem arises (MEL & CDL).

Every Student uses an Electronic Flight Bag (Ipad) since day one with all the student's library and aeronautical charts.

8-Airline Pilot Standard APS/MCC

The airline pilot standard MCC is an enhance multi crew coordination course  that train pilots to the airlines standards.

At Hub'air , we make a huge difference at this level compared to many schools as we use real simulators , not generic ones, with airline instructors using standard airline operating procedures.

With more than 40 hours of simulator , you will feel really ready to start a conversion course Airbus or Boeing as you experience after the type rating will be with more than 80h of flight simulator.

We find that this total immersion in a real specific type simulator is the best way to achieve your goal of success and be better prepared than anyone when starting as first officer on a commercial jet.

9-Theory (ATPL)

Having the best multimedia presentations combined with up to date text books while having ultra-sharp quality images is important.

Having access to a full database of questions is very important to be ready for the exams.

But the most important are the teachers...

At Hub'air ,there is no compromise. You will have a teacher, mentor, coach for the complete duration of the training. There is no distance learning even if you have the possibility to use your computer at home to study.

We feel that contact hours in classroom using regular methods are very effective. The combination of excellent teachers with the best manuals on the market is giving us an exceptionally high rate of success.

Since 2001, we have been official partner of Bristol Ground School well known for the quality of their didactical materials.

10-Be on a Campus

Being on a campus located in Chambley (France) is allowing the students to benefit from a total immersion in aviation.

They are surrounded by aviation enthusiasts at all time and they share information about their passion at any time.

Students will have nice room, well equipped, at a very affordable price in shared or single room. All the facilities are available on site or at short distance.

Plenty of activities are available such glider, hot air ballon and Ulm.

Near by, some of our students have decided to stay at the nautical center "la Madine" where they do benefit from nice infrastructures and lots of activities associated.
